Obituary

\Virginia R. Medlen, 86, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 surrounded by her family. Virginia was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on March 27, 1931 to Ernest and Genevieve (Hunter) Clayman. Virginia was an active member of Memorial United Church of Christ. She was employed with Sun Oil Refinery Credit Union and H&R Block. Her hobbies included: bowling, gardening, and maintaining the many flowers she grew around her home. Virginia is survived by her children, Terri (Eulan) Tucker III, Vicky (Kenny) Jones, and Clay (Chris) Blakeley; grandchildren, Kristen Berry, Jonathan Berry, Jacob Berry, Jennifer (Ashley) Kegley, David (Andrea) Jones, Joshua Jones, Kyle Blakeley, Gage Blakeley,, Emma Blakeley, and James Kegley; along with 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elvin Blakeley; and brothers, Homer & Hunter Clayman. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
