Virginia Perales, 88, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026. She was born in San Antonio, TX on January 9th, 1938 to Adrian Gutierrez and Isidora (Alfonso) Ortiz-Rodriguez.

Virginia grew up traveling from San Antonio, TX to many states throughout the United States with her parents working in various fields and orchards. She met the love of her life, Francisco Perales, Jr in Toledo, Ohio and they married on September 4th, 1954. Virginia and Francisco were married for 45 years until his passing on May 13th, 2000.

Virginia was the matriarch of a family she was incredibly proud of. Virginia was a homemaker who devoted all of her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She always made it a priority to be at every family, schooling or sporting event. Virginia was an exceptionally good cook, but she also enjoyed going out to dinner and sharing a good meal. Virginia also enjoyed taking trips with her loved ones, especially near the water.

She is survived by her daughters, Alesia (Arturo) Covarrubias, Regina Perales, Francine (William) Norris; son, Adrian "Carlos" Perales; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with 4 on the way and 2 great-great grandchildren on the way. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Francisco and her son, Francisco "Larry" Perales.

Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
