Obituary

Virginia R. Tank, 90, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Genoa Care Center. Ginny was born on May 28, 1925 to John and Victoria (Adams) Myers. Virginia was a US Naval veteran during WWII serving as a WAV. She worked for Ohio Bell for 24 years as an operator, retiring in 1974. She was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church and the Telephone Pioneers. Virginia will be remembered as an independent woman well ahead of her time. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda A. Tank; surrogate daughter, Diana Holt and brother, John (Loretta) Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burton; brother, Bill Myers and sisters, Victoria DuPont. Dorothy Jewell and Anita DeCant Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at First St. John Lutheran Church on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with internment to follow in St. John's Cemetery.
