Viva J. Wood, 73, of east Toledo, passed away Monday, December 30, 2002, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Viva was born on January 23, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Guyus E. and Minnie C. (Bristow) Clifton. On October 12, 1949 she married William Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, David, brother Donald and her sister, Marcella Fry. Viva was a member of Northwood Church of God. Surviving are her loving children, Daniel (Laura) Wood, Darlene (Scott) Keith; sister,Ruth (Elbert) Purdy. grandchildren Wendy, William and Jennifer Wood. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S.Coy Road on Thursday from 12-9 pm and on Friday from 10 am until the time of her funeral service which will be held at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Vivas memory are asked to consider Northwood Church of God.
