Vivian Pauline Moritz, 91 of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully and into the arms of Jesus at Mercy St Charles Hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2022 after a brief illness. Pauline was born in Williams County, Ohio on August 1, 1930 to Samuel and Clara (Harrington) Swisher. Pauline had worked as a real estate agent and also as a deputy Clerk of Courts in Defiance, Ohio prior to moving to Oregon. Pauline was very involved in her church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and was always kind and helpful to everyone she met. She had a special place in her heart for kitties, and leaves behind Tortie and Tinky and several outside kitties that she took care of.
Surviving are her children, Debbie (Tim) Gray, James (Melody) Joice; stepchildren Jeffery (Kristi) Moritz, Joyce (Wayne) Witt, Joanne (Dale) Wolniewicz; sister-in-law Lucille Swisher, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Clara and Samuel, husbands Gerald Joice, and Roy Moritz, stepdaughter Jayne Klaiber, sisters; Harriet, Louise, and Frannie; brothers Clifford (Pip), Kenneth, and Thomas, and two grandsons Matthew Gray and Ryan Wolniewicz.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd, Oregon, Ohio on Saturday, from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2:30 pm at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio.
