In the early morning hours of Saturday, November 19, 2022, Wadih Kazan, loving husband, father, and brother passed away at the age of 52. Wadih was born on October 21, 1970 in Beirut, Lebanon to Michel and Maya (Khoury) Kazan and immigrated to the United States with his family at 6 years of age. Wadih was raised in a loving Lebanese American family in Northwood, Ohio. He was a proud father to Michael and Elijah, husband to Shirley and brother to George (Nancy ) and Viviane.
He attended Penta County Vocational School and studied auto body. He had a love of cars, most especially classic muscle cars. Wadih enjoyed working on them and attended many car shows throughout Ohio and Michigan. He worked many jobs during his short life and was most recently employed by Toledo Tarps. In addition to his love of cars, Wadih will be most remembered for his huge heart, fondness for cats, love of family and friends around the fire pit, and always ending phone calls with "I love you."
Wadih was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, children, siblings, many nieces, nephews, and cousins worldwide especially in the United States, Canada, and Lebanon. The family would like to thank the ICU nurses and doctors at Bay Park Community Hospital and Promedica Toledo Hospital for the exceptional care he received.
Friends and family will be received at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home 440 South Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Friday, November 25th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (Trisagion prayers at 7:00 p.m.). There is a visitation at the church at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 738 Glenwood Rd., Rossford, Ohio 43460 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery 1961 Pickle Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616. Fr. Michael Myers will preside.
