Walter D. Ehrsam, 82, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born in Jerusalem Township, Ohio on July 5, 1934 to Walter and Ada (Lehman) Ehrsam. He graduated from Clay High School in 1952. Walter's passion for farming began in FFA and continued on during his lifetime of farming. On top of farming, he also worked at Sun Oil for several years before retiring in 1984. On December 3, 1955 Walter married the love of his life, Louise Busson. Together they would enjoy vacationing down in Florida and spending time with their family. Walter was a volunteer firefighter for Jerusalem Township for several years. He loved fishing up in Michigan but most of all cherished his family. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Louise; daughter, Diane (Michael) McLaughlin; son, Walter F. Ehrsam; grandchildren, Timothy (Rachel) Rysz, Amy (Chris) Conkey, Dennis (Andrea Stillwell) Rysz; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Keaton Rysz and Madisyn, Alexa and Landon Conkey. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Allen Rysz. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
