Wayne Likens, 78, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008, in his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio of November 24, 1929, to Clarence and Alzada (LeDuc) Likens. Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was owner operator of Likens Drywall for 48 years, retiring in 2003. Wayne was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church, the Cooley Canal Yacht Club, Oregon Fire Department, Christ Dunberger Post, and was past president and secretary at Divinity Lutheran Church. Surviving are his children, Sherrie Haar, Carey (Laura) and Kevin (Val) Likens; stepchildren, Chuck Smith, Lori (Tim) LeWallen and Robin Graham; 5 grandchildren, 7 step-grand-children and friend, Kathy Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Don, first wife, Shirley and second wife, Esther. Friends and family may visit at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Monday, June 30, 2008, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in First St. John Lutheran Church on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with visitation in the church 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
