Wendell Meek, 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 10, 1942 to Thomas and Iantha (Abramson) Meek. Wendell graduated from Waite High School and went on to work for ThomMcAn Shoe Company for 25 years. He married the love of his life Patricia (Snider) on November 9, 1963. Wendell later worked for the Anne Grady Center for 24 years as Director of Maintenance before retiring in 2011. He was a loyal member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Rossford Chapter, and an avid Packer and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Most important to Wendell was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He made sure that they all knew how much he loved them. He was a great man and will be deeply missed. Wendell is survived by his wife Patricia of 51 years; children, Dean (Jill) Meek, Dale Meek; grandchildren, Kristal (Matt) Sutton, Billy (Amber) Ray Jr., Megan Knappins, Abigail, Melissa, Caroline Meek, Deano Meek Jr. and Dale Meek; great grandchildren, Marissa, Matthew, and Brandon Sutton, Addison, Alec, Abel, Belle, Ray and Brenton Boone; brother, James (Mary Lou) Meek; and sister, Judy Goss. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tommy and Garry Meek; sister, Billie; daughter, Teresa Ray and great grandson Aiden. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Fraternal Order of Eagles services at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
