Wendy Jane Finch, loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Campus, surrounded by family after a brave and determined battle with cancer.

Born on October 19, 1972, in Buffalo, New York, to Bert and Christine (Rozewicz) Berrigan, Wendy lived a life full of generosity, courage, and joy. She had a rare ability to put others first, even during her own challenges, her love and kindness touched everyone she met. She approached life with a mix of warmth, humor, and a spark of adventure that made every moment memorable.

Wendy had a deep love for the outdoors and for simple pleasures that made her happiest. She spent countless hours boating on Lake Erie and in Florida, feeling the sun on her face while reading, enjoying campfires, the beauty of nature, and sharing a cold beer with family and friends. Her life may have been simple, but she brought her own kind of "crazy" to it, making each day brighter for those around her. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 32 years, Michael; children, Ashley (Christopher) McDonald and Tyler (Taylor) Finch; grandchildren, Carson, Graham, Ezekiel and Maeven; father, Bert; sisters, Melissa (Jim) Lewis and Sheri (George) Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

Wendy was preceded in death by her mom, Christine.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Wendy's life on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. (https://www.google.com/maps/search/440+S.+Coy+Rd?entry=gmail&source=g)., followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. This will be a time to share stories, laughter, and memories of a woman who lived life with an open heart.

Following the service please join family at Community House Church, 3708 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio, for a post-funeral reception.
