Wendy S. Ward, 48, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Oregon, Ohio on December 6, 1962 to Richard and Nancy (Gorka) Ward. Wendy was employed with Hyatt Legal Services and Gallon and Takacs Law Firm as a legal secretary. She enjoyed singing, dancing, music and writing poetry. Her true passion was reading and encouraged those around her to read often. Wendy is survived by her son, Richard (Kim) May; parents, Richard and Nancy Ward; grandchildren, Madeliene, Clarissa, Zoe, Rich, Sunny, Dominick, Aaron, Briar, and Cole; brothers, Jeff (Valerie) Ward and Scott (Lisa) Ward. Private funeral services will be held. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home has assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
