Wesley J. Mudgett, 70 of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Wes was born on December 30, 1942 in Spokane, Washington to John and Edith (Fugate) Mudgett. He was U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam War for 8 years where he was a Sr. Demo Specialist. He had worked for Gulf Oil Refinery and Waste Management prior to his retirement. Wes was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints and also a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, NRA and the Sandusky County Sportsman Club.
Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia; children, Cassaundra (Carlos) Martinez, Charlotte 'œSam' (Kevin) Mertens, Robert L. Nottage; 8 grandchildren and sister, Elaine Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, HaLeana; sister, Grace Mudgett; a niece and nephew.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in N. Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Sandusky County Sportsman Club Youth Programs.
