Wilbur E. "Hippy" Hipkiss, 83, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Wilbur was born on November 16, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Wilbur and Dorothy (Keeffer) Hipkiss.

He was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After serving his country for two years, Wilbur returned to Toledo and worked for the City of Toledo for 30 years until his retirement in 1995. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, building radio control boats, and shooting his guns. Wilbur was a kind soul who would do anything for anyone.

Left to cherish his memory is his selected family, Mary, Anna and Doug Nelson and Judy Goss. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elnora Hipkiss.

Graveside services will be held at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to send an expression of sympathy in Wilbur's name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio – Perrysburg Campus.
