Will L. Hartford, 73, of Oregon, Ohio peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Will was born on June 1, 1943 in Oregon, Ohio to Harold and Waneda (Elsea) Hartford. He married the love of his life, Margaret (Kleinhans) on July 4, 1966. Will worked for the Ford Motor Co. for 30 years as a press operator before retiring in 2006 and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. He was a man of detail which showed in the pristine condition of his yard and the immaculate shape of his 2006 Lincoln Town Car. He enjoyed listening to old gospel and country music, cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes, eating at his favorite Bob Evan's restaurant in Northwood, but what was most important to Will was being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Will is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret; children, Tammy (Clovie) Pounders, William Hartford Jr.; grandchildren, Corey (Frankie), Kristy (Adam Wiggins), Brandy (Kyle Bridge) Pounders, William III (Destiny), Marcus Hartford; great-grandchildren, Corey, Dawson, Noah, Layla, Sophia and twins on the way; brothers, Robert (Annabell) Hartford, Edward (Rose) Hartford, Daniel (Laurie) Herrera) Hartford; sister, Sandy Whetsel. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eleanor Cunningham; brothers, Harold Hartford Jr. and Richard Hartford Friends and family may visit Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Will's name may be directed to American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg.
