William Dale Bueschen, 71, a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren passed away on December 16, 2013. Bill was the middle child born to Dale and Jessie Bueschen on January 18, 1942. He graduated from Waite High School in 1960 where he played football and basketball, and remained an active member of their alumni association. Bill worked as a longshoreman for Toledo Lakefront Docks for 34 years, and officiated high school football for 24 years.
Bill loved golf, spending time with his friends, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. He loved attending school functions for his granddaughters here in Toledo and traveling to see his daughter and grandchildren in Colorado. In recent years he traveled to Germany and Austria to spend time with his youngest son and daughter-in-law.
Bill is survived by his children Christopher (Barbara) Bueschen, Leslie (Eric) Denke, and Timothy (Lana) Bueschen; his sister Nancy (Bueschen) Pinketure; and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Libby Bueschen, Kendall Denke, Emily Bueschen, and John Denke. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his older brother David (Marge) Bueschen and his brother-in-law Joe Pinketure.
There will be a celebration of life luncheon on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Black Forest Café at Oak Shade Grove from noon to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Centennial Fund of the Waite High School Alumni Association. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
