William Cordell, 65, of Martin, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 23, 2013. Bill was born on November 23, 1947 to Harry and Norma (Fields) Cordell. He graduated from Clay High School in 1965 and began working for Libbey Owens Ford shortly after. Bill had a passion for working on cars, snowmobiling, hunting, and target shooting. He passed down his love for cars to his children and grandchildren. Bill was a great man that cherished his family and will truly be missed by all. Surviving are his children, Cindy Whitney, Robert Cordell; grandsons, David and Alex Whitney; brothers, Harry 'œBud' (Sandy) Cordell, Darrell (Deborah) Cordell; sisters, Terry (Paul) Herman, Karen (Rob) Warner; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ed and David Cordell. Visitation will be held at Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, OH on Wednesday August 28, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date.
