William D. Culbertson, 85, of Oregon, OH passed away October 17, 2005 in his home. He was born in Greenville, Ohio to William and Olive (Jay) Culbertson on April 23, 1920. William was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in China-Burma-India. He was employed by LOF as a glassworker for 30 years. William was a member of Calvin United Church of Christ and the American Legion Post 132 in West Toledo.
Surviving are his wife of 50 yrs., Regina; step-son, Donald (Annette) Robertson Sr.; grandchildren, Tamra (Bryan Sanders), Melissa Robertson, Cynthia Robertson, Donald Robertson Jr., Michael Robertson and Michelle (Chauncy) Nemire; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews, Joey Connor, Gary Rotert, Chris and Kathy Scott; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Klein and Jean Culbertson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Thursday, October 20, 2005 from 2 -5 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in William's memory are asked to consider the American Legion Post 132.
