William L. Dailey Sr., 85 of Genoa, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Bill was born in Guthrie, Kentucky on September 26, 1921 to Joseph Sloan and Myrtle Ann (Lisenbee) Dailey. He was a retired truck driver for St. Clair Manufacturing and Purex Oil. Bill was a WWII Army Veteran. In his spare time he enjoyed lawn work, going north to fish, gardening, but his real love was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William Bill Jr. and Sharon Dailey; grandchildren, Duane (Erica) Dailey, Deana (Mike) Toney, Lisa Swango; great grandchildren, Megan Dailey, Trevor Toney, Kyle Pauley; great-great grandchild, Madison Dailey. Also surviving is his sister, Dorothy Dailey of Tennessee. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Mae Dailey.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19225 W. Witty, Elmore, Ohio and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Grace Evangelical Church Building Fund.
