William E. Harpel Jr., 81, of Oregon, Ohio passed away June 3, 2008 in his home. He was born in Norwalk, Ohio on December 16, 1926 to William Sr. and Leona (Wyckoff) Harpel. William was a U.S. Naval Veteran and served during World War II. He had been employed at the Dana Corporation as an inspector.  Surviving are wife Elenore "Elly" Harpel; step-son, Patrick (Debra) Keefe; grandsons, Sean and Ryan Keefe. William was preceded in death by his parents and step-son Kelly Keefe.  There will be no visitation and services will be private.
