William H. Hoffman, 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on March 20, 2014. He was born in Florence, KY on August 19, 1925 to Harry C. and Edith B. (Morgan) Hoffman. William was a graduate of Macomber Vocational High School and went on to serve in the US Army during WWII. He was a retired employee of the former Toledo Scale where he had worked as a truck driver for 38 years. William was a life member of the American Legion and a Masonic member for over 50 years.
William is survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Hoffman of Covington, KY and very dear sister, Mary Bird of Toledo, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 1:00 pm '" 3:00 pm. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Independence Cemetery, Independence, Kentucky. Memorials may be directed to East Toledo Baptist Church.
