William Johnson, 76, of Oregon, OH and formerly of Bradner, OH passed away on September 7, 2003 in St. Charles-Mercy Hospital. He was born in Jackson Co., KY to Gillis and Gracie (Robinson) Johnson on March 18, 1927. Bill was employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 18, for over 30 years retiring as a crane operator. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Jane; daughters, Judy (Roger) Creeger and Susan (Steve) Leavitt; sister, Bennie Griffin; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Amy, Bill and Kerry; great-grandchildren, Yasmine, Samar and Jared and many nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in William's memory can be made to First St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
