William C. King, Sr., 77, of Oregon, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2002 in his home. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on December 25, 1925 to Fielden and Anna (Reanour) King. William was employed as a boilermaker for Toledo Edison for 32 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the US Navy during World War II and a member of First St. John Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his daughters, Kathy (Rocky) Rothenbuhler and Sandra (Paul) Schmitz; son, William C. King, Jr.; sister, Marguerite Ulrich; step-sister, Lillian Self; grandchildren, Jeff (Kari) Schmitz, Cheryl (John) Walsh, Shelly (James) Snyder, Charlie Rothenbuhler, Paul (Michele) Schmitz; great-grandchildren, Angela, Brad, and
Christopher Schmitz, Joey, Michael, and Justin Snyder, Amanda and Andrew Walsh.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2003 at 11:00 am in Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S.Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio, where the family will receive friends and visitors beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be in North Oregon Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Williams name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
