William E. "Dooley" Lawson, 78, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on September 24, 1944 to Nathan and Wyula (Barrett) Lawson. Dooley married the love of his life, Linda (Ebright) on September 16, 1966. He worked at Jeep for many years holding various titles before retiring on January 1, 2008. He enjoyed hunting, especially for squirrel and was an avid fisherman. He also liked tinkering with things in his basement. Dooley loved his family and cherished his time with them. He will be dearly missed.

Dooley is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda; daughters, Tammy (Carl) Floyd, Pamela (Terry Richardson) Lawson; grandchildren, Mark Lawson, Nicole (David Quiroga) Floyd; great-grandchildren, Emma, Evan, Xander, Braylee; sisters Barbara Lawson, Mary (Philip) Lawson, Rachel Lawson; brother, Richard Lawson; and many nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers and 1 sister.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert &Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
