William "Bill" Methena., 83, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away on March 17, 2021 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo . He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 19, 1937 to John and Dorothy (Large) Methena. He worked as a car inspector for 40 years, before retiring in 2002. Bill was funny and had a different sense of humor. Bill liked cars, especially Chevy Impalas. He also enjoyed playing poker with his brothers. Bill is survived by his children, Laurie (Jeffrey) Whittecar, and Jeremy (Jodi) Methena; grandchildren, Shannon (Ralph) Luna, Cheyenne Methena, Kingsley Methena, Savannah Swartz, Brooklyn Swartz, Penny Sue Luna, Nathan Luna and Adisyn Luna; siblings, Diane Chasteen, Beth (Bob) Curavo, Kathy Chasteen, Mike Methena and Jim (Melanie) Sharp. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Phyllis; parents; Dorothy (Harold) Compton and John (Carol) Methena; daughter, Penny ; and siblings, Ben Methena, Terry Methena, Johnny Methena, Judy Methena and Jim Methena. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
