William F. Mettie, 76, of Curtice, OH passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 14, 1944 to Edward and Gladys (Kirk) Mettie. Bill graduated from Clay High School and retired from Chrysler as a machinist for 35 years retiring in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, collecting arrowheads and Eagle pictures and statues. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Jean: daughters, Brianne and Debra Mettie; son, Christopher Mettie; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann (Richard) DeCant and Barbara Curry. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will greet friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy. Rd., Oregon, Ohio, 43616 on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment following at Allen Township Cemetery.
