William James Pleasant 69, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 15, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born December 15, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Connie (McHenry) Pleasant. In 1971, he graduated from Macomber High School, Toledo, Ohio and worked for Chrysler Corporation retiring as a sheet metal specialist after 28 years. Jim was an avid fisherman and meticulously cared for his 1972 Mercury. Jim was proud of his time in the Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. His greatest joy was spending time with his family; especially watching his grandson Russell play hockey.

Jim is survived by his wife Sheri; children, Dwain (Jessica) Haskell, Danelle (Justin) Myers, and Philip (Diandra) Haskell; 7 loving grandchildren; sister, Kathy (Bill) Pearson; niece, Katie (Jamie) Looney; and 2 great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 10:00 am until funeral service at 12:00 pm. Interment: St. Ignatius Cemetery.
