William H. Schmidt, 68 of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 25, 2023. Bill was born August 30, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio to Walter and Mary (Carroll) Schmidt. He attended St. Louis Grade School and graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1973. He married the love of his life, Linda Ciprian February 14, 1976. Bill was a tool and die maker by trade, working at several shops in the area for 45 years. He loved tinkering in his garage and helping those in need. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially the activities and events of his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his sons Mark Schmidt and Brian (Christine) Schmidt; grandchildren, Mark II, Julianna, Andrew, Allison, and Charles; and siblings, Connie (Dave) Shriner and Greg (Darlene) Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Linda.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 N. Summitt Street, Toledo. Interment: Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
