William J. Stahl, 68, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 26, 2006 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born in Jackson Center, Ohio on October 17, 1937 to Kenneth and Louise (Pence) Stahl. Bill was a graduate of Quincy High School, class of 1955. He married Sandra Sheets on June 4, 1960. Over the years, William owned and operated Marathon gas station at Oak & Fassett Streets, was employed by Commercial Oil, Toledo Scale, LOF and was owner of BJ's Carryout in Curtice. He was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church, the Toledo Swiss Society, the Moose Lodge in Port Clinton and the Oregon Volunteer Fire Department #2 Station from 1969-1985 where he retired at the rank of Assistant Engineer. Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra; son, Mark William (Julie); daughter, Lori (Michael) Weis; sister, Sharon (Virgil) Koenig; grandchildren, Kallie Stahl, Kaitlyn, Seth and Kohl Weis. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patricia Koenig and brothers, Robert and Jack Stahl. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Tuesday, February 28th from 2-9 p.m. Oregon Volunteer Fire services will be held at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held in First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman St., Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with interment following in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston.
