William J. Swartz, 67, formerly of Consaul St. in Toledo, OH passed away August 29, 2004 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH on December 3, 1936 to Joseph and Mary (Orsag) Swartz. Bill was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War. He retired from Libbey Owens Ford in 1991 after 23 years. Mr. Swartz was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and former member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his brother, Robert (Barbara) Swartz; nephews, Dan (Tammi) and David Armstrong; niece, Debbie Swartz; great nieces and nephews, Zachary, Danielle, Jessica, Kyle, Candice and Dustin Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Florence Armstrong and Mary Ann Swartz. Family and friends may visit at the Kinsey Funeral Home, Birmingham Chapel, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, OH on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. and proceed to St. Stephen Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in Bill's memory can be made to St. Stephen Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
