Bill Vorraber, 97, of Munroe Falls, Ohio passed away October 28, 2017 at Mulberry Gardens Assisted Living Community. Bill was born and lived in the Toledo area from April 28 1920 - September 2013. The Sun Oil Company employed Bill during his working career for 43 years, retiring as electric shop supervisor in 1982. In his youth he was active in a variety of sports and clubs, earning 13 varsity letters during High School. As a member of Boy Scout Troop 102, Bill achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with added Palms. Bill served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
Bill is survived by his children, Bill Jr., Roger (Connie), Richard (Therese) and Cathy (Dan) Zaenglein; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Never forgetting their Uncle Bill, he is also survived by Hallenbeck family nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Janet; sister, Norma Hallenbeck; daughter Suzanne Mackin; grandson Robert Vorraber and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 am in Epiphany of the Lord Parish- Sacred Heart Church, 509 Oswald Street, Toledo. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
