Obituary

William Paul "Will" Szabo, 76, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on November 28, 2025. Born February 6, 1949 in Toledo, Will lived a life defined by an enduring zest for learning. A gifted singer and guitarist, he brought music and laughter wherever he went.

Will graduated from Purdue University in 1971 with a business degree and went on to earn his MBA from Indiana University in 1973. His loyalty remained with the Boilermakers.

In 1987, Will and partner Tom Kitz founded American Property Analysts, a real estate appraisal firm that continues today—a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit. At the time of his passing, he was considered the preeminent expert appraiser of RV Parks in the nation.

A lifelong learner who never retired, Will thrived on sharing wisdom and stories. He was known by all for his flair for language, quick wit, and ability to command any room (or golf course) with humor and grace.

Will is survived by his wife, Tina Szabo; his children, Katie (Marissa) Fine, Maggie Szabo (J.J. Edwards), and Dr. Edward (Kim) Szabo; his grandchildren, Lauren, Jared, Sebastian, Haley, George, and Hugh; his great-grandchildren Everleigh and Andrew; his siblings, Barbara Kitz, Mary (Ernie) Bollinger, Joannie (Dave) Mackey, Greg (Kim) Szabo, and Michael Szabo; his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by parents Jean M. and William B. Szabo, sister Jeanie Szabo Connor, brother-in-law Tom Kitz, and stepson Brandon Lott.
