William J. Zemnicki, 83 of Oregon, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo on Monday, May 8, 2023 surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Oregon, Ohio on July 2, 1939 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Matyok) Zemnicki.

Bill had retired from Sun Oil after 30 years of employment where he worked as a trainer, RR rack leader and in the maintenance department. While working at Sun Oil, Bill also ran Zemnicki Greenhouse, after his retirement from the refinery the greenhouse became his full-time job until his death.

Surviving are his children, Pattie Zemnicki, Janet (John) Tusing, Julie Zemnicki, Dave (Patty) Zemnicki, Jim (Terri) Zemnicki; friend of the family and father of Josh and Katie, Tim Menter; friend and mother of his children, Joyce Zemnicki; grandchildren, Katherine (Brandon) and Joshua Menter, Dustin and Allison McKinniss; step-grandchildren, Tommy Katona, Jennifer Bartley, Danny and Kelly Miller; long-time employee, friend, and neighbor of the family, Kathy Jeskey; and long-time employees, Gloria and Ellie.

Sister-in-law, Barbara Zemnicki.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, siblings.

Bill's family will host a visitation and memorial service at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio at a later date.
