Willow D. King, 81, of Oregon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2007, in Parkcliffe Community Center. Mrs. King was born on November 27, 1925, in Atmore, Alabama to Frank and Minnie Ola (Hawkins) Jordan. She was the widow of Raymond King who preceded her in death in 1990. Willow was employed as a meat wrapper for the Kroger food stores for 19 years, retiring from the Miracle Mile store in 1988. She was a member of Heritage Christian Church. Willow loved gardening, crafts and traveling but her true love was her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Robert (Maggie) King, Gloria (Pat) Patterson, Barbara (Dan) Cannode, Frank King, Becky (Joe) Shinaver; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road where visitation will be Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 1 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in Willow's memory be made to Parkcliffe Community.
