Wilma Jo Gerken, 84, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away on January 24, 2022. She was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on July 22, 1937 to Rochester and Ruby (Stutts) White. She graduated from Woodward High School and would work as a secretary for Town and Country Builders. Wilma enjoyed sewing, tending to her vegetable garden. In her younger years she enjoyed fish fries, going camping, looking after children, but most of all, being with her family. Wilma is survived by her significant other, David Brewer; daughter, Melody (Kimberly) Mero; son, Charles Moorehead; grandchildren, Rachel McIntosh, Ian Quisenberry, Grace McIntosh, Brooke Hinton, Dylan Hinton; great-grandchildren, Sammy and Amelia Hinton; and brother, Charles R. White. She was preceded in death by her parents and half-sister, Annie Ruth Brewer. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Friday, January 28, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Wilma's name may be directed to Paws & Whiskers Cat Shelter.
