Wilona Lorraine Cary, 99, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 20, 1923 to William and Clarrisa (Harris) Wismer. After graduating in the first class of Whitney High School she went on to work as an LPN for St. Luke's Hospital. Lorraine enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing scrabble and collecting dolls.

She is survived by her step-children, Ruth (Ronald) Poulson, Lloyd W. (Gail) Cary III; grandchildren, Kimberly (Francisco) Ledesma, Matthew and Michael (Danae) Krawetzke ; great-grandchild, Amanda Wrede; great-great granddaughter, Hannah LaForge; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Sharon Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved step-father, Ernest Williams; husband, Lloyd Cary Jr.; son, M. Lawrence Gatton; grandson, Tony Gatton; great-granddaughter, Tessa Wrede; sisters, Mary Meyers, Joyce Werner, Sally Grzybowski, Leona Mihalk; brothers, Nelson, Dale and Arhur Wismer and Gerald Williams.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road Friday, December 16, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in Lorraine's name may be directed to Cherry St. Mission or American Cancer Society.
