Dennis Pavley
Partner/Director
Dennis joined the staff in 1981 after graduation from Defiance College and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Dennis and his wife Lisa live in Oregon and have two sons, Michael and Matthew. He is a member of the First St. John Lutheran Church finance committee. He has served as a board member of the St. Charles Hospital Foundation and Oregon Economic Development Foundation. He is the past president of the East Toledo Oregon Kiwanis, the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Funeral Group of Trust 100. He also served as president and trustee of the Oregonian Club. His other affiliations include the North American Swiss, East Toledo Club, Eagles Landing Golf Club, Crews Nest Yacht Club, and Clay Athletic Boosters. His hobbies include boating, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Brett Tscherne
Oregon Location Leader/Director
Brett has worked with the funeral home since 2003, starting in a part-time role and advancing to his current duties as location leader. He was raised in Oregon and graduated from Clay High School in 2004. Brett attended Owens Community College on a full Athletic Scholarship and obtained an Associates of Applied Science Degree with a specialization in Business. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2010 and received a Bachelor Degree in Mortuary Science and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a current Board member for the Oregon Senior Center, currently serving as Treasurer, and a previous Board member of the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce. Brett is a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Since becoming licensed, Brett married Heather (Placko) in 2013 and have planted their roots in Oregon. They have 2 sons, Decker and Trey. Brett enjoys volunteering at Jerusalem Elementary and also spends a lot of his time coaching his boys teams. He also enjoys golfing, gardening, biking, being active, cheering on THE Ohio State Buckeyes and spending time with his family.

Jason Fletcher
Millbury Location Leader/Director
Jason Fletcher has proudly served the local community as a licensed embalmer and funeral director since 2009 and currently manages the Millbury Chapel. Raised in Elmore, he graduated from Woodmore High School in 2002 before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Human Resources from Otterbein College in 2006. He continued his education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating with a Bachelor of Mortuary Science in 2007. While in Cincinnati, Jason worked closely with Donald and Beverly Good at Elden A. Good Funeral Home in Cincinnati’s Hyde Park neighborhood, where he completed his apprenticeship—and where Donald and Beverly have since become a second family to him.
Jason married Kimberly (Padley) in 2015, and together are the proud parents of their lively and loving daughter, Eliana. The Fletcher family are active members of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Toledo, where Kimberly shares her talents as a music minister, Jason tends the flower gardens, and Eliana enjoys Sunday School and singing in church. The family also volunteers with the church’s neighborhood outreach ministry.
Professionally, Jason serves as the executive director of the Funeral Directors Association of Northwest Ohio and is a member of both the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the Ohio Embalmers Association. He treasures the friendships he has made with funeral professionals across the country.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys woodworking, vegetable gardening, spending time in his yard, washing his car, sailing on Lake Erie with his dad, and cheering on the University of Toledo Rockets and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Jason Fletcher
Millbury Location Leader/Director

Rachael Schaffer
Licensed Funeral Director
Rachael Schaffer is a licensed funeral service professional who proudly continues the multi-generation tradition of care and service at Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home. Raised in a family deeply rooted in funeral service, she understands the responsibility, trust, and compassion families place in those who guide them through times of loss.
Rachael holds a Bachelor of Science in Funeral Service from Point Park University and an Associate Degree in Specialized Technology from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She also earned an Associate Degree in Business Management, strengthening her ability to support both the personal and operational aspects of funeral service. Her education and experience allow her to serve families with professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of regulatory and procedural requirements.
A lifelong resident of Northwest Ohio, Rachael lives in Oregon and is actively involved in the community she serves. In addition to her work at the funeral home, she serves as Executive Director of Jake & Cooper’s Bark Park, a nonprofit organization dedicated to community connection, mental health support, and service. Her involvement reflects a deep commitment to caring for people beyond the funeral home setting.

Julie Miller
Business Manager
A lifelong resident of Toledo’s East Side, Julie is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and Owens Community College. In 2023, she completed her training as an End-of-Life Doula, answering a calling to support individuals and families during life’s most meaningful and challenging moments. She is an auxiliary member of VFW Post 4906 in Toledo, the American Legion Post 265 in Wauseon and a member of the International Network of End-of-Life Doulas.
She currently resides in Oregon, Ohio with her husband, Steve, and their chihuahua, Mazey Mae. Following their marriage, they now share one son, Adam (Kali), and two daughters, Rachelle and Rebekka. Julie’s greatest pride and joy is being a Gigi to her four grandchildren—Cayde, Arden, Jasper, and Lilith. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, cooking, playing tennis, reading, doing puzzles, and traveling to Kentucky, Tennessee, and Charleston, South Carolina. She has been affiliated with Eggleston Meinert & Pavley since 2008 and is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of her community during their most difficult times.

Luke Reeder

Born and raised in Toledo, OH, Luke brings a fresh perspective and a compassionate approach to helping families plan ahead for their future needs. With a strong commitment to service, Luke provides families with guidance and peace of mind when it comes to preplanning funeral arrangements.
Luke is a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and studied at The Ohio State University. Outside of work, Luke is an avid sports fan with a special passion for baseball, having played both baseball and football in high school. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching his younger brothers play baseball, and training with them. Luke treasures hanging out with friends on the weekends and catching any sporting event he can. Luke is excited to be a part of the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Homes team, offering families the knowledge and support they need to plan for the future with confidence.
