Walker Oregon Funeral Home and Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home Expand Partnership to Better Serve Local Families
Oregon & East Toledo, Ohio — Walker Oregon Funeral Home and Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley
Funeral Home have announced an expanded partnership focused on providing compassionate,
dignified, and locally rooted care to families in the Oregon and East Toledo communities.
Both funeral homes have served area families for generations with a combined history of more than 200 years of service and share a deep commitment to honoring every life with respect,
professionalism, and personal attention. After successfully sharing resources since December, the two organizations have chosen to further combine their strengths to ensure families continue to receive the highest level of care, while also supporting the well-being of the dedicated professionals who serve them.
As part of this transition, the former funeral home location on Navarre Avenue is closed as of May 7, 2026. Families who previously utilized services at that location are warmly welcomed at either of Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley’s purpose-built funeral homes:
- 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio
- 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio
Both facilities are fully handicap accessible and thoughtfully designed to provide comfortable,
welcoming spaces—including spacious chapels and inviting lounge areas—where families can
gather, reflect, and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
Through this expanded partnership, Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home will now be served
by Northcoast Crematory Service, owned and operated by the Walker family for nearly 20 years. This integration allows services such as cremation and transportation to be handled entirely by trusted local professionals, eliminating the need for third-party involvement and ensuring greater
transparency, care, and oversight at every step.
Dennis Pavley, co-owner of Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, shared,
“Families deserve to know they are in capable, compassionate hands during one of the most difficult times of their lives. Partnering with the Walker family allows us to strengthen that promise. I’ve known Keith Walker for many years and deeply respect the standards, ethics, and care he brings to our profession.”
Keith Walker, co-owner of Walker Oregon Funeral Home, added,
“Our goal has always been to serve families with dignity, honesty, and kindness. By working together, we can continue that tradition while improving continuity of care and ensuring our staff remains supported and available when families need us most.”
As part of the transition, Brett Tscherne, an Oregon native and long-time member of the
Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley team, even back to his days at Clay High School, has been named
manager of the Oregon location. Brett will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring families continue to be served by familiar faces who understand the community and its values.
All pre-arrangements made with the former Hoeflinger and Oregon Walker Funeral Homes will
be honored 100% as written and may be fulfilled at either Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley location.
Families can feel confident knowing their wishes will be respected with the same care and attention they expected when making those arrangements.
Families with questions about this transition, existing arrangements, or available services are
encouraged to reach out at any time. The staff of Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home welcomes families to schedule a personal visit or tour of their modern, well-kept facilities, where details, options, and wishes may be discussed in a comfortable, unhurried setting. As always, the focus remains on providing caring guidance, respectful service, and a meaningful experience for every family served.
