Our dedicated staff are here to provide support, compassion, and information to help you through your journey of grief and the celebration of your loved one’s life.
Dennis joined the staff in 1981 after graduation from Defiance College and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Dennis and his wife Lisa live in Oregon and have two sons, Michael and Matthew. He is a member of the First St. John Lutheran Church finance committee. He has served as a board member of the St. Charles Hospital Foundation and Oregon Economic Development Foundation. He is the past president of the East Toledo Oregon Kiwanis, the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Funeral Group of Trust 100. He also served as president and trustee of the Oregonian Club. His other affiliations include the North American Swiss, East Toledo Club, Eagles Landing Golf Club, Crews Nest Yacht Club, and Clay Athletic Boosters. His hobbies include boating, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Lisa has been a member of the staff since 1989 as a licensed funeral director. She currently manages our Advanced Funeral Planning and Family Services programs. Lisa is a graduate of Clay High School and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Defiance College. She and her husband Dennis reside in Oregon and have two sons, Michael and Matthew. Lisa is a member of the First St. John Lutheran Church and has served/currently serves on the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce, the East Toledo Family Center, East Toledo Senior Center, Oregon Schools Foundation, James “Wes” Hancock Senior Center, Eastern Community YMCA, Bay Park Auxiliary and St. Charles Auxiliary, and the Lutheran Homes Society, East Toledo Senior Center, Toledo Refining Company CAP and Oregon Historical Society boards.
Larry has served as a local funeral director for over 30 years and is currently the manager of our Oregon Chapel. He is graduate of Defiance College and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science (1981). He and his family regularly attend Christ United Methodist and St. Ignatius Catholic Churches. Larry has served as past president of the Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Oregon Community Family Coalition, Eastern YMCA Board, Treasurer of the James Hancock Senior Center, past Vice President of the Board of Directors of Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, past Chair of the Promedica Bay Park Foundation Board. Larry is currently on the Board of Trustees for Promedica Bay Park Hospital and is on the hospital’s Business Council, President of Good Grief Northwest Ohio, President Elect of the Little Sisters of the Poor Board and a current board member of Eastern Maumee Bay CC. Larry is responsible for our memorial design team and his unique ability to custom design family memorials can be seen in many local cemeteries. He and his wife, Jane, are Oregon residents and have three children, Rachael, Lauren, and Jacob.
Matthew is the youngest son of Dennis and Elizabeth. He has proudly assisted the staff since 1998, working part time while attending school. Matthew graduated from Oregon Clay High School in 2004 and was a member of the DECA Marketing program. Immediately following, he went on to Kent State University and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a focus on interpersonal communication.
Matthew graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2010. He now works full time as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Aside from prior education, he is an alumnus of the Phi Kappa Tau National Association and a member of First St. John Lutheran Church. He married Jaimie (Obertacz) of Ottawa Hills in 2018. They welcomed their first son, Colton James Pavley, in 2019 and second son, Parker Joseph Pavley in 2023.
Jason Fletcher has proudly served the local community as a licensed embalmer and funeral director since 2009 and currently manages the Millbury Chapel. Raised in Elmore, he graduated from Woodmore High School in 2002 before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Human Resources from Otterbein College in 2006. He continued his education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating with a Bachelor of Mortuary Science in 2007. While in Cincinnati, Jason worked closely with Donald and Beverly Good at Elden A. Good Funeral Home in Cincinnati’s Hyde Park neighborhood, where he completed his apprenticeship—and where Donald and Beverly have since become a second family to him.
Jason married Kimberly (Padley) in 2015, and together are the proud parents of their lively and loving daughter, Eliana. The Fletcher family are active members of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Toledo, where Kimberly shares her talents as a music minister, Jason tends the flower gardens, and Eliana enjoys Sunday School and singing in church. The family also volunteers with the church’s neighborhood outreach ministry.
Professionally, Jason serves as the executive director of the Funeral Directors Association of Northwest Ohio and is a member of both the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the Ohio Embalmers Association. He treasures the friendships he has made with funeral professionals across the country.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys woodworking, vegetable gardening, spending time in his yard, washing his car, sailing on Lake Erie with his dad, and cheering on the University of Toledo Rockets and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Brett has worked part time with the funeral home since 2003. He was raised in Oregon and graduated from Clay High School in 2004. Brett attended Owens Community College on a full Athletic Scholarship and obtained an Associates of Applied Science Degree with a specialization in Business. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2010 and received a Bachelor Degree in Mortuary Science and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a current Board member for the Oregon Senior Center, currently serving as Treasurer, and a previous Board member of the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce. Brett is a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Since becoming licensed, Brett married Heather (Placko) in 2013 and have planted their roots in Oregon. They have 2 sons, Decker and Trey. Brett enjoys volunteering at Jerusalem Elementary and also spends a lot of his time coaching his boys teams. He also enjoys golfing, gardening, biking, being active, cheering on THE Ohio State Buckeyes and spending time with his family.
Joy joined our firm in 2006 as a Certified Advance Planning Specialist and Family Services Director. She is a proud lifelong east Toledo and Oregon resident. She graduated from Waite High School. She and her husband Patrick currently reside in Oregon. They are the proud parents of four grown kids. Joy is a member of the Oregon Senior Center Board, Bay Park Community Hospital Auxiliary and the East Toledo Women’s Christian Connection.
Corinne joined the firm in 2006. She is a proud graduate of Northwood High School. She currently resides in Oregon with her husband Bob and has three daughters, one step-daughter and one step-son. Corinne has 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Bev was born and raised in east Toledo. She is a graduate of Waite High School. After high school, Bev worked at the U.S. Post Office for 36 years, delivering in east Toledo and Oregon for most of her career. Bev married fellow Waite graduate Kevin Sawyer and have been together for 33 years. They have two children, Brianne and Angie. After retiring from the post office, she became a volunteer at St. Charles Hospital where she is involved in the Auxiliary, and is also active with the Waite High School Alumni Association.
